Skype
Are you using Skype? Are you considering using Skype? What are the implications for classroom use of this FREE and wonderful communication tool? I know that so far I have been using Skype to have meetings, to seek experts in their field, to get advice and to just fool around. I'm amazed at how clear it is. What about you? How are you using it? How do you see it as a 21st century classroom tool?

Comment by Jeanne Rogers on February 14, 2008 at 11:31am - Have used SightSpeed for a couple of years, mainly to video chat with my non-Mac friends as it works cross platform nicely. Most recently used SightSpeed to allow for video conferencing with a homebound 4th grade student. Installed SightSpeed on the computers of two teachers at work and gave instructions for the family. Contact has helped keep the child in touch with her classmates.
