Encouraging, equipping and empowering teachers with creative technology

An iPod for every teacher

I have come to believe that an iPod is an necessary tool in our classrooms today for so many reasons: music enhancement, audio books, voice recordings, showing video clips and so much more. In March I created a podcast to help teachers understand its incredible power. Tonight I got an email about the Colorado Rockies using video iPods to review their plays. Check it out: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2486924.

What are the ways you would use an iPod in the classroom?

As always, I am
Ubiquitously yours,
Karen

How would I NOT use it is a shorter answer:) If I had a video iPod in my classroom, I would use the voice record to record my lectures, directions for projects, etc. THis would be for absent students or those wanting to reaccess info.

I could house PPTs, Video clips, movies, music, PHOTOS and paintings, etc...all things relevant to my class. And much more portable than a laptop!!!

Podcasts that relate to my curriculum would also be a great use for an iPod in my classroom...

The uses for an iPod in the classroom are becoming innumerable...One of the great things about technology is that the possibilities are endless. As your creativity roams, ideas blossom.
