Movies for Social Studies

I'm getting ready to kick-off my Social Studies Film Festival as an ongoing extra credit program for the 2nd semester. I've done this before, and it works really well. It provides a great opportunity to get kids to watch important movies that we just don't have time to watch during classtime - we do this after school. We'll use our class blogs to handle the credit responses.

I do have a request. I'm always in search of relevant films - and films that the kids will find interesting. Does anyone know of any good websites or databases that includes movies in teaching?

A site I always rely on is teachwithmovies.com
They do have a subscription fee, BUT it's only $12 a year, so I have found MORE than worth it!! For movies the site has cataloged, they have TONS of info from possible problems to discussion questions and more.

As a fellow SS teacher I would love to know what movies you use in your Film Festival? I too find there are so many I'd like to show but don't have time for. (OR - and keep in mind I teach high school - I can't show because of the R rating and our districts rules.).
